ACTOR/WRITER/DIRECTOR

Dion Costelloe is a prolific actor in New York’s independent film scene, collaborating with some of the city’s most exciting emerging directors, writers, and comedians. His work spans film, television, video games, and the stage, where he has frequently worked alongside members of the LAByrinth Theater Company.

As a writer and director, Dion has created several short films exploring the gritty, violent, and often darkly humorous realities of growing up in New York City, including Waking Up and Haters. He also co-wrote and co-created God’s Time, in which Dev and Luca race through the streets of New York on a righteous mission to stop Regina from murdering her ex-boyfriend. God’s Time was distributed by IFC Films and is currently streaming on Hulu.

Costelloe recently wrapped a lead role in the upcoming feature Buckets of Fun, the sophomore film from writer Mike Macera and director Adam Mcalonie. He also stars in Messy, directed by Alexi Wasser and distributed by Vertical Entertainment, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, as well as Tiger, directed by Kerry Ann Enright.

His television credits include memorable appearances on Lioness, Blue Bloods, FBI: Most Wanted, City on a Hill, Mayor of Kingstown and The Deuce. Dion is also currently involved in a highly anticipated project with Rockstar Games.

Recent Roles

Dion Costelloe co-stars opposite writer/directer Alexi Wasser as Eddie in Messy, alongside Thomas Middleditch and Mario Cantone. Messy is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video.

in 2025 Dion wrapped Tiger, portraying Eddie Welch, the right-hand man to Irish mob boss Paddy Foley (Kevin Corrigan).

Most recently, Costelloe portrayed Neal in Buckets of Fun, a coming-of-age comedy centered on a young college sophmore, who finds her friend group in chaos when an older actor moves in.

Dion’s other recent roles include many memorable appearances in network tv shows like Lioness, Blue Bloods, FBI most Wanted, Showtimes’ City on a Hill and HBO’s The Deuce. Dion is also currently working on a much anticipated Rockstar* project.

He is slated to shoot a recurring role as Danny Nolan on the 5th and final season of Mayor of Kingston this spring.
